Francesco — known to everyone as Ciacco — is 100% Sicilian and has returned to Sicily for love: Anna!
He studied Economics and Administration in Milan and worked as a consultant in the healthcare industry. But thanks to Anna, he found the courage to follow his true passion: cooking for people.
His new adventure begins at Ciacco Putia, a tiny eatery in Marsala where he brings his grandmother’s recipes back to life. It’s a fresh, contemporary take on traditional Sicilian cuisine — something completely new for Marsala.
Francesco has also begun investing in Marsala wine, pairing this extraordinary local treasure with his dishes.
Self-taught, but with a deep and authentic knowledge of Sicilian food culture, he’s bringing a whole new energy to the local scene.
Anna, a proud graduate in Gastronomic Sciences from the University of Pollenzo (yes, that one – the Slow Food university!), is the Tuscan soul of Ciacco. In 2010, she moved to Sicily for work… and ended up finding much more than just a job — she met Francesco.
Curious and passionate, Anna is always on the hunt for hidden gastronomic treasures — from small-scale Italian and Sicilian winemakers to artisan producers and unique local delicacies.
She’s a sunshine-filled hostess, a perfect blend of Sicilian warmth and Tuscan charm, and she’ll happily pour you a glass of wine while telling you the story behind every bottle and every olive oil she loves.
